I have been reading post on this site for approximately 3 weeks and I want to thank you all for participating. It really helps a person like me. I bought a 2011 F250 King Ranch two weeks ago after falling in love with it upon site. I have been wanting one of these monsters for about 12 years.
My issue is, I bought the extended warranty b/c it had 46,000 miles on it. After the purchase, I see that Ford could attempt to back out of the warranty possibly due to the modifications on the truck. The modifications are a banks exhaust and air intake. Not sure if it has been tuned but I suspect it has. I can cancel the extended warranty and get a full refund, but the Service Manager tells me I should keep it and they will take care of me as long as they do not have to call an adjuster. I will not be immediately towing anything and would like to do a delete and tune if I cancel the warranty or not if I keep the warranty. Vehicle is mainly a comfortable travel vehicle for the family that goes around town and commutes once a week. I will probably average 8000 miles a year with it. Thanks |

I personally wouldnt do anything to jeopardize a warranty. only thing bad about owning a newer vehicle is the limited ability of mods.
how much did you pay for the warranty if you dont mind me asking? welcome to the org! |

I would not think they could back out of warranty for the banks exhaust and intake. The exhaust is dpf back correct?
