2012 Superduty in bed hitch question
My father is looking at purchasing a 2012 6.7 and I have a question about the "gooseneck" factory installed hitch. We both tow our fifth wheels and goosenecks, and we currently use a B&W turnover ball, with the Fifth Wheel companion hitch which slides right in where the ball connects. From what I saw on the truck at the dealership they will not work with our current hitch. WE will needs some kind of new hitch. What is the deal with theses, how do you lock the ball in place and put the fifth wheel attachment in them? Do you have to purchase these from ford or do they make aftermarket for them yet?

You need this ball. Click on each pic and you'll see how it locks.
Ford GN Ball I have the Ford/Reese hitch. A little pricey, but great hitch!! ![]() Mark |

Check with B&W to see if you can just buy the bottom half of this: Companion

B&W makes a new 5th wheel hitch that works with the Ford installed prep package. I love mine so far.
