2012 cab roof
While sitting in a salesman's office at a Ford dealership the other day, i was looking at a 2012 superduty catalog and noticed that the cabs on the trucks were flat and didn't have the raised roof lines anymore. Is this how all of the trucks are being made?

I think only the roofs on the crew cabs have the "ridges" or whatever they're called!!!

My 2012 Crew Cab has raised ridge lines on the roof and the 2012 Super Duty catalog shows the same on a crew cab model but no ridge lines on the Super Cab models shown in the catalog.

Yeah my crew cab has them, but from the few times I've cleaned up there it looks like they are stuck on its not part of the body. Looks sort of like those body molding that come on some car doors, my expo had them.

They are part of the metal roof not a stick on piece of trim!!! LOL
The longer roof on the crew cab would require the added stiffness they provide. |

My 2012 has the same roof as my 2006 (crew cab). They stiffen the roof.
