Windshield Noise - Headwind

Today I was in a 20mph head wind and the windshield started to whistle. I thought I had one of my front cab windows open. The truck has never done this before and maybe something fell off the truck that is supposed to insulate the windshield ? The truck is a late 2011 F250 CC if that matters. Going to take it to the dealer for an oil change tomorrow anyway, but thought someone here might have had this happen to them ? thanks

I'm not sure about our 2012 because it has a big headache rack that makes a lot of noise. But our 2011 explorer does the same thing your talking about. But it does it as soon as you get to 65 mph or so. I'm not sure, let us know if ya find anything out at the dealer

There seems to be a common problem with wind noise coming from some where on these trucks. I've owned 3 Fords so far and all 3 had wind noise.. I don't know why they can't solve problems like that threw the years

have you guys checked you cabin pressure relief valve behind the cab and bed to see if its stock closed? mine was doing something like this and mine was stock closed, anyways its just an idea, wont hurt to check

I forgot to open the cabin pressure relief valve once. Just as luck has it I was running over to the airport to pick up a bucket of propwash that day! What a disaster!

My 2010 F350 had a problem when it was fairly windy outside. A very loud banshee sound would come from the windshield. The dealer replaced the windshield, all covered by warranty.

I put some Firestone air bags on for hauling. It only changed the rake slightly, but that windshield noise is gone. Not fixed...but gone

Check your window rubber trim around windshield. My 2006 was a loose on top and my 2012 was loose on the driver side. When I mean loose ,I mean you where able to pull it away from the windshield completely. I applied RTV and good to go.
