Day light running lamps?

Does anybody has this on their truck. Was it an option?

Mandatory in Canada; optional in USA. Most dealers will charge you for the flash update; but many will do it for free if they are flashing for some other reason.

Just a matter of enabling the setting using an IDS

1. Ensure that the IDS is updated to latest Database.
2. Select "Module Programming"
3. Select "Programmable Parameters"
4. Select "Exterior Lighting"
5. Select "Daytime Running Lamp"
6. Select "Daytime Running Lamp Turned On" or something worded along those lines.

Just called my service writer, he was going to check on it. Didn't sound very encouraging though.

Which lights do they enable? I like how the Tundras look lighting up the turnsignals to solid burn.

It literally takes longer to drive the truck into the shop and hook it up than it does to enable/disable the DRL's.

My service writer said you have to have that option already on the truck. I'll keep checking.

If this is all that your service writer and techs know about your truck, I would find another dealer.
