Factory fender flares

Anybody know how the factory fender flares are attached? I know there are some screws around the inside. Do they have double sided tape as well?

Can i take them off and put them back on without damaging the fender flares? Just curious what the truck will look like without them.

I was going to add factory flares to mine until I priced them. Geez!! I'll stay plain.
