Too much cetane booster.

Any input on this would be appreciated..Is there such a thing as too much Cetane Booster in the new 6.7 trucks. The dealer is having me put it in every tank till Ford finds a fix for my issue.

Have to ask, what's the condition that Ford says requires Cetane Booster every tank?

Are they supplying u with the Motorcraft cetane booster for free? as long as you use it as recomended I can't see why it would be an issue ? the US has one of the lowest cetane rated deisel fuels available anyway

The truck is showing the "Cleaning exhaust filter" message and most of the time after this it starts bucking and making noise from the RH side of the engine. The dealer is questioning my fuel and wants me to add Cetane till the Ford engineers figure this out. I have seen this problem before mentioned on this sight. And NO they are not supplying my cetane for free, I agree that they should but ahhhh you know!!!!!!

I wouldn't be driving it if it was constantly in regen. And centane in every tank won't hurt it. I do it all winter long.

I would park that thing in front of the dealership and stop making payments on it until they fix it.

This is just happening when it goes into regen. I have parked it at the dealership about 7 times.The truck is also paid for, Ford customer service is involved and I usually have to call them to update my case. They act like no one has ever seen this problem but I have seen it mentioned on this site on the 2011's. The dealers hands are tyed till Ford authorizes some parts to be thrown at it.
