2012 6.7 purchase

I am very close to purchasing a 2012 super duty diesel CCSB lariat.. This will be my first ford hd truck I've never been a ford guy but I feel ford has really come a long way with there new hd trucks.. Of course the dealer has told me these trucks are bullet proof and best fuel economy in class but how has your real world experience been with this truck after the deletes and chip and exshaust as far as problems with it go and what kinda mpg's are we talking after deletes and chip with exshaust. I will not be racing this thing and will be hauling a 8k enclosed trailer. I get 8mpg's now with my 1500 Denali and hoping a modded 6.7 can almost double that plus get 20 or so empty

Thoughts ?
Thanks

Stock I'm getting between 10-13 pulling my 23' wakeboard boat. Not sure if it's quite 8k though prolly 6k is all. But it's usually pulling up very steep grades not flat ground. Getting about 18 on the highway empty and about 14-15 in town.

In my opinion just leave them stock. They got plenty of power, its under warranty, and you just don 't now what the emission requirements are going to be in the future. If you take everything off you may have to put it all back on

I'm getting 16.6 MPG on my stock 350 crew long bed. I have not towed or hauled anything yet...just passed 2,000 miles on it.

Alot of people don't like the 26 gallon tank that comes in the short bed. Just a heads up.
