"Scorpion"

I keep seeing references to the "Scorpion" in this forum and others in reference to the 6.7 trucks. Where does this come from and what does it mean?

The turbo sits on top of the block rather then under it. It resembles a scorpion, if you could see just the engine/turbo.

Mostly the output of the turbo to the down pipe as you look at the back of the motor looks like a cobra head
