Espar heater

I live in northern Alberta and use the truck for work some nights I am unable to plug the truck in. Has anyone installed this heater in a 6.7?

I'm in the same situation as you working near peace river. I've looked into espar and have heard with these newer trucks computer systems it can throw a check engine light because on startup because the coolant and oil temp are too far apart. If its just a check engine light and you are tuned I would assume you could just clear it. I've also read on other forums guys are using it with no problem

Hey Guys,

Ive talked with Polar mobility out of edmont (Im sure they are in red deer and calgary too)

The Espar Hydronic 5 Coolant Heater is 2200 installed. Your right we cannot heat the cab using this without actually running the motor.

Im still waiting on my Titan tank to arrive. When it does, Ill be getting the EH5 and then putting in a small aux heater in the cab.

** Attempt at forum diagraming lol*

[Heater]- - - - - - - [Engine]
|_ _[aux heater in cab]

Now for the batteries for this set up both the espar and the aux heater will be running off of a separate battery that will be mounted under the bed of my truck. That way if the espar kills the battery my truck will still be fine.
