Exhaust install

Hey guys so I went and took a peek underneath last night to get a feel for things, and on the flange that connects the down pipe to the next one the bolts are welded on. Now I could probably cut the first one but the back one is tucked in behind the frame and looks like a real PITA. I'm really trying not to just hack the pipe off, just wondering what you all have done maybe some trick I'm not thinking of here?

The bolts stay in place even for a new exhaust install. The nuts come off.

I'm sorry I typed that wrong, the nuts are actually welded onto the flange, just a real small tack.
