good deal?

test drove a 2012 from a local dealer today. it is a crew cab short box with the lariat ultimate package with i believe every option available...
heat/ac leather, sun roof, nav, power rear window, remote start etc...

sticker price was in the 60k range, the salesman told me they will no longer be getting 12's and they are recieving there 13's so this truck is now considered a leftover. price is 51,799.

the price seems right but what do you guys think?

Sh*t! I know I can't afford a brand new $50k vehicle and I haven't really shopped or priced the new 6.7s much, but it seems like a decent deal. I know a guy I work with was looking at the less loaded ones and they were coming down about $9k off MSRP for the XLTs (to around $34k).

A guy I work with got a 12 last week lariat ultimate CCSB no sunroof or nav form $49k. So $3k for nav and sunroof isn't terrible. Try jewwing them to $49,999!

Thats the route I went. I picked up my truck as it is in my sig, for 40. Figured Id get one with what I was going to put on anyway, save the money there, and add options down the road as I plan on keeping her. Like he said if you can stand less options for now you will save ALOT. And besides it makes it more of an ongoing project, I dont wanna buy something with nothing left to do to it. Wheels and tires were an exception, because you just buy them and slap them on, not much of a fun project.

im also comparing with the denali or ltz duramax. im not biased as ive owned duramax and cummins but never tried powerstroke. it seems to me in my test driving that the duramax feels lighter maybe a little more power...and the powerstroke seems to have more of a rugged heavier feel. are you all having good luck with the new 6.7?

Heck ya it is... That's only $0.27 per mile!
