Orange mirror marker light

one of my orange marker lights on my drivers mirror is out. How do you replace it?

By taking it to the dealer if it's under warranty still?

I nailed it on a fence, would prefer just to fix myself. has to be easy...

I remember on my 04 there isn't an actual bulb. It is a strip of 5 or 6 LEDs or something. You can pop off the cover towards the front of the truck and see what is in there on your 12.

Use the mirror controls and adjust it to where you see into your window. You want a large gap on the outside part of the mirror. There is a black tab inside you can reach with a screw driver. Use it to apply steady pressure to the tab and it should just pop out. The newer mirror lights are just bulbs
