Ford calls it " Fall out"

I picked up my 2012 yesterday from the dealership. I was excited and I love the truck. Today once the sun hit the windows, wind shield, and vinyl it sparkles like glitter or metallic paint over spray. It's only on the windshield and down one side of the truck. The color of my truck is silver. Talked to my buddy at the dealership where I bought it and had me bring it in to take care of it. Looks like they tried to scrap it off with razor blades but didn't do a good job. It is still on there and all in the vinyl on the mirror. Called him back and he said that they would get ford to warranty it. And Ford calls it paint " fall out" or something. Anybody ever heard of this or know what happened from personal experience with this issue? This sucks I waited 8 weeks for this truck haha

I don't know but my buddy picked up his truck when he bought it brand new in '04 and it had "railroad dust" all over it and they ended up repainting most of the truck.

I assume it's paint. Not sure. I know it sparkles in direct sunlight. It almost blinded me driving down the road this morning when the sun hit the windshield

It's called "deal breaker". Have them make it look perfect or have them get you a new one. If I paid that much for a new truck, it better be perfect.

Yeah you right! It will be perfect! They can either replace the windows and vinyl or get me a new one. The guy at the dealership said he would get Ford to make it right

I've heard that clay bar will take the rail dust off. I'd try that first. The razor blades thing scares me. I'd never ever use a razor on paint.

It looks like they used razor blades on the windshield but it still left scratches
