Chrome Mirror cap removal
Anybody done this? I want the mirror to be all black. Looks like it could be pried off but I wanted to check with someone who has done this before.
Thanks |

Very easy to do. Point the mirror all the way down. There are two tabs on the top. Get two flat tip screw drivers and use one to push the black tab down while with the other you push the mirrow cap out towards the front of the truck. Once you get it down it takes like 10 sec to do

Swap mirrors with me and you will have an all black mirror and not have to mess with that cap lol.

Do you have powerfold?
I have a Lariat with Powerfold and signals, all black housing, I'd be willing to swap if your mirrors are mint. My truck has 1200 miles on her. |

The tabs are tricky to take out then tricky to get them to snap back in. Be careful!

And once you get them caps off you are left with an ugly mirror. Best off finding someone with black mirrors and swapping them. The black mirrors have a 1 piece outer shell where the chrome capped ones are 2 pieces.
