I Think I Am In Love

I went to the local dealer today and test drove a 2012 F250 Crewcab 4x4 Lariat and I think I am in love, it is everything I would want and equipped the way I would want with options, we talked some numbers and they are coming $10,000.00 off the sticker, I told him it would be about 2 months before I am ready to make a purchase, I know what I am looking at at least and what I want.
I may be pulling the trigger soon, The truck is awesome! This is the second truck I test drive.

And that sir, is EXACTLY why I don't go anywhere near the Dealer lot! I'm afraid that should I venture onto the lot, I'd bring one home.....to sleep in.....'cause Momma would NOT be happy.

I hear that the incentives are going to be better next month on the 12's. I have one ordered that should be here in about three weeks. This has been the longest wait ever so far

That is why I wait until the end of the year when I purchase, I have had good luck, I like to wait until November, the deals and incentives are better, they are looking to move the remaining models off the lot with the new models out, that is why I am in no hurry, I am taking care of some financial matters also that will free things up and put me in a better position to buy.

I got 10k off in February. I'd think the deals would be a lot better by now on the leftover '12s.

Hammer them.
If you are in love, bring a friend who is NOT the least bit enamored who will walk out dragging you if need be.
Make them give you the holdback too. That's good for $1k right there.

Good luck and don't be all starry eye'd when you walk in, these salesmen can smell that like a shark can blood.

Yeah i know what you mean, I got my 2011 about this time last year and it started with a hair cut.

The upper end trucks such as the Lariats or KR trucks will have even bigger discounts. The XLT's and XL's will have less of a discount. The more options means higher margins which gives the dealer more room to negotiate.

I got my '12 Lariat crew cab fx4 last month for 12k off msrp. MSRP was a tad over $56k; I paid $43988. Advertised price too; i didn't have to talk them down... Good deals are out there for sure.
