I installed the AMP Research power steps. It was very straight forward. They (AMP Reasearch) did a good job on the directions. This was the first time i did a set. Took me about 6 hours to install, but took my time doing the install.

Are they adjustable? Are they higher or lower than the factory steps?

Adjustable, they are mounted to already drilled out holes. So being adjustable, im sure you can do some fabrication, but not sure i would want to. Dont know how they would fit up under the truck when they retract under the body and between the frame rail.

Higher or lower than stock - They come down lower then the stock steps would be and come out a lil further than the stock steps. Way way way better than the stock step, for easy of use to get in and out of the truck, and the fact that they are hidding. Again this is my first use of these kind of steps, so im sure others would have better answers to your question.

Thanks for answering my questions. I have been looking at those for a while. I like the look of a truck without steps, but i think using steps saves the wear and tear on your seats getting in and out.

No prob anytime!! Oh no doubt I couldnt agree more. I feel like with these steps ill save more on the seats. I dont have to try and bring my foot inwarded to find the stock steps. As far as the AMP steps, i take foot out of the truck and bam, there is the step. I love them. Oh didnt know if you noticed or not. I replaced the 4x4 lower air dam with the 4x2. Its half the size of the monster one that is stock on the 4x4.
