Cracking tires?

So my truck is only three weeks old and today I noticed that my tires are cracking around the beads. Is this normal? I checked the pressures and they are set to the factory settings. Should I be concerned???

A friend of mine just bought a new GMC Denali HD and he has the same problem with his Michelins. The dealer told him the tires are ok and that is common to those tires. It didn't ease his mind any.

Check out this thread.......

Bad factory Tires??

The Stealership (Mac Haik Ford in Houston had terrible customer service) won't do anything about it, and neither will Ford. Really sucks that a $60K rig has tires on it that are cracked, and they call it normal.

God Luck, you'll need to fight 'em!!

Ford states: NO WARRANTY ON TIRES

Go ahead, fight the battle, you'll lose just like everyone else has. Ford isn't going to do jack squat about those POS tires.

On a tangent...we just bought our 04 Excursion from Mak Haik....I wasnt impressed at all. One salesman told us they put new batteries in it but never charged them as if batteries arent charged from the factory (truck was completly dead when we got there to look at it)...the other said he didnt want to give us an Oasis because it would only show what they did at that dealership.

Good luck with the tires. Maybe if enough people pressure Ford they will come factory with a different brand tire.
