E locker and exhaust brake???
Ok guys, How do you 6.7 owners like the function of the electronic locker and the exhaust brake in comparison to other trucks that you have or previously owned?
Can the locker be used while only in 2wd to aid in certain situations where 4x4 may not be necessary? Does the manual trans function work like it should right on demand? Ive been finding little issues here and there on my 08' 6.4 and cant help but check out the 6.7. I love the 6.4 and cant justify trading it with my finances being as they are but if it is going to turn into a repair nightmare in the future doing a trade up may be better in the long run. |

My locker works in 2wd just fine. Used it in the sand last week.

The lockers work great in 4x2. As far as the engine brake when in tow haul mode it down shifts the transmission as soon as you start hitting the brakes. Takes a bit of getting use to buy like I said works great. I'm just not really sure why ford does an Auto/Lock on the hubs. You got any idea

the locker works great and on demand, as does the manual trans shifting. i have driven a couple 6.4's and overall i think it doesnt compare to the 6.7. love this truck

I really wish Ford would offer a locking front end as well. I remember years ago saying "I wish Ford would offer a locking rear" and now they do, so maybe someday they will for the front as well, hell maybe even detroit lockers as an option on FX4 trucks??? Now that would be cool

Ford just started offering a Torsen front limited slip for the 2013 f150 raptor, combined with the ford rear locker. That's what ford needs to offer in the super duty.
You don't need a full locker in the front unless it's selectable. With a rear locker and Detroit truetrac in front, you will have the traction to pull virtually anything out of ditch and go where you want to go. And it's great for snow. I love this set up I have

I forgot about the Torsen front diff in the raptor. That would be awesome if the offered it in the SD some day.
