Ford Emblem

Washed my truck over the weekend and noticed the giant Ford Emblem in the front was peeling real bad.

Went to the dealer today and they ordered me up a new one. Just a FYI to keep a eye out.

I have one I no longer need if you want another one. It was on the truck for 6 months, always parked inside. Not sure what a fair price would be.

What did the new one cost you?

Truck was still under warranty, so they just ordered a new one.

Dealer also said they have had a few other 2011's come thru with the same problem.

Been an issue as far back as 2005. I had the one on my 11 F150 replaced twice.

It's a shame they haven't made the emblems with better quality. I was hoping they would have figured out a better way to make them by now. I just replaced the grille emblem on my 06 a month ago so it looks good again.

Both my emblems are peeling bad. What did you have to do to get the dealer to cover it?

Just have them look at it and job done?

Also, is this covered under the basic warranty?

I simply pulled up to the dealer and just showed him my concern with the big blue oval.

The service writer said i, not the first person with this problem. He ordered a new one up.

My 2011 has 18,500 on it so of course it falls under warranty.

Good Luck
