Looking at trading for a 6.7

Hey guys, It looks like Ill be back on the Powerstroke forum soon...

After the GM dealer gave me waaaay more $$ than the Ford store when I traded my 07 crew SD on an 2011 Diesel Chev HD, I cant help but wish I had of got the 2011 Super Duty. I have had the 2500HD for 5 month's, and I miss my Ford...lol

So before I get into all of the reasons I dont like the GM... What are some of the common issues with the 6.7?

Turbo failures have been numerous on the boards lately. Some transmission issues but nothing that alarmed me. There have been some isolated issues with Ford denying warranty claims based on WIF.

I've only squeezed 3100mi out of her so far. It takes me awhile before I truly love anything, so for now I'll simply say that I like the truck and have no issues, save for a few pet pieves.

What did you dislike about the Duramax?

The 11-12 D-Max has a great engine/trans, and gets great fuel milage. I would see 15-17 city depending on how hard i was on it, and 19-20mpg at 75+mph.

Below is my not like list:

1. I just didn't like the ride. I was leveled, so maybe that was why.
2. The bed is 4 inches shorter so my MX bikes could not be loaded and tail gate closed up like F250
3. Torsion bars suck
4. Came with 20 inch wheels factory, but you can only get a 33 in the wheel well.... so ride is harsh on low side wall
5. Interior looks like the Escalade we had, but not as nice. The DIC is old style, and rear seating seemed small.

Lets not forget that chevy still only does a independent front suspension and I hear of only horrible issues and how everyone is putting a straight axle on their chevy especially running 35's or bigger.
