Please ease my mind.

I am a life long GM fan and never thought that the day would come where I bought a Ford. I have a 08 chevy 2500hd gasser and besides being a great looking truck I am fed up with it. No mechanical problems just crappy build quality and thin thin sheet metal. Anyway I ordered a 2012 Superduty lariat crew w/the 6.7 about 2 weeks ago. I think I have read most every post on this site and another doing research. I am now reading about problems people are having with their fords and I'm starting to get nervous that I will regret getting the new ford. So to finally come to a question. Overall is this motor going to be another 6.0. I have no doubt the the truck will be built well just worried about the engine.

Worse then a 6.0........

Just joking

You should be fine and I'm sure you will love it

And dont knock a 6.0 until you've tried it... Many guys that have problems don't know the difference in what type of fuel they put in it
If you learn a bit about it, it could go toward your benefit

Not knocking the 6.0 I just know it had its problems. My uncle and cousin both have 6.0s that are running open exhaust and tuners. Are they going to blow my stock truck away or is this motor that much of a beast.

I switched from a Dodge 2500 gasser.......couldn't be happier. Remember, forums are where people come to find solutions to their problems.

I haven't had a single issue yet.

You and me both! Considering ordering a new CrewCab Lariet F-250. I can afford it no problem, just not sure if I want to PAY that much. I've always bought 3-4 year old cars and paid it off in a year or two.

But damn they sure are sexy and got some serious balls....I'm torn...

I looked at some 2011 trucks and the used price wasn't enough less than the new to justify getting a truck that may or may not have been taken care of.
