Fuel mileage
I have a 2011 F350, CC, FX4, 6.7 diesel DRW. I was wondering what kind of mileage people are getting who drive DRW trucks. I drive about 20 miles round trip to work and back. All city driving and I'm getting around 13-14 MPG. Is this normal? I was expecting a little better than that but this is my first DRW pickup. Also, does anyone use an additive to try and boost your mileage?

That sounds about right for city driving. I got 21.5 on a drive from Monument, CO to Boulder, CO this morning. I just got mine, though, so I don't have a lot of data to go off of yet.

Wow! 21.5 MPG. The best I've gotten is 18 on the highway. But, usually when I'm highway driving I'm towing my 5th wheel RV. I get 10-11 MPG towing which I'm happy with.

Sounds about right depending on your final drive ratio. My 2011 srw gets about 17 back and forth to work and around 12 towing.

I get about 17 -18 on the highway at 70 mph. Before I bought the truck I was reading stories of people getting 25.

I was reading that too. I know folks that have shortbed 3/4 ton trucks that get over 20 on the highway. I was just curious if other dually pickup owners were getting the same mileage or better than what I'm getting. My truck has the 3:73 limited slip rear end under it. Has anyone tried a fuel additive? If so, what brand?

I run Motorcraft PM-22a........its tough to tell with city driving, but I would estimate a .5 mpg increase.

I read the high mpg threads too before I bought mine and sales man said 21 no prob. srw cc 3.55 18 rims best mpg 18 all freeway and regens s longest length was 300 miles. I get good and then regens 100-150 miles mostly and back down. Got 19 on a recent trip with torq 2.1 @60-70 mph

Hand calculated mine yesterday. 19.2 at a gps average speed of 75 over a 157 miles. Topped the tank off, drove another 294 miles at a gps averaged speed of 75mph, got stuck in traffic where we moved 3 miles in 2 hours, filled up, got 18.5mpg. So over the course of a 451 mile trip, averaging 75mph, I averaged 18.85mpg. Srw, factory 18s, 3.54 gears, crew cab shortbed 4wd. The truck went into regen 3 times over the entire trip. This was with 3 people in the truck and the bed had a bunch of luggage and chairs and coolers in it so no real weight.
