Your Opinion

As you guy's might know, I just ordered a new 2012 F350 CC Lariat. I currently have a 2004 F250 cc xlt w/ 84000 miles. Up until a coulpe years ago no problems. In the last 2 years I've replaced the EGR, Oil cooler, Turbo downpipe, electrical harness's, and many sensors. At this point I've had the "check engine light' on more than the headlights. As of now I have the CEL on again and this time its throwing code P0470 exhaust pressure sensor. I'm not planning on driving it to much before the new truck arrives. My question is if you guy's think I should go ahead and clear this code or go ahead and leave it until I take it to trade? I love this truck, but I'm tired of dealing with a new problem each month. I should be seeing the new truck at the end of August. Thanks

clear the code before u take it in for trade whether it now or later just before u trade it in would be ur best bet to me

Thats what I was thinking. I figure if i wait until they call me when it arrives that way it would at least be cleared for about 6 to 7 cold starts. Thats what usually happens. Thanks for your comment. I'm real excited for this truck, I can't wait.

So I've got another question for you guy's. I have a windshield that I've had fixed recently by Safelite. I now have 2 more "clams" and I don't think they can fix these. I called them and for $230 they could install a basic no Super Duty logo windshield. Do you guy's think I should go ahead and do this? My thinking was that the dealer might take more off the trade in than the $230. I want to get as much as I can out of the truck. Also, the new truck is supposed to arrive the week of 8/13. When should I be able to get the VIN#? I think it would be cool to see the sticker as someone had mentioned on a different thread.

My last truck I had the window replaced with no sticker on front and didn't really bother me not having it. I don't really pay attention to it as it is, I would replace it just for GP cause the dealer might care and they might not but to play it safe and get the max in trade I would do it.
