hid's and switchbacks installed

Installing retro solutions 55w 6k headlights and fog. Also putting in Velds 6k switchback turn signals. Any tips or instructions y'all have for me? I'm pretty handy with stuff like this it's jut these new trucks and all the complicated wiring and whatnot makes me somewhat timid to tear into this stuff. Any advice will help. I'll post pics when I'm done.
got it all done. got the switchbacks installed too. love them all. oh and i decided to paint the mirror covers

Thanks,
Brad

very straight forward. to get the front grill off, there are 4 or 5 10mm? bolts up top then if you pull it back a bit there are 5 tabs in little openings that you need to push down with a long screw driver, type in 2011 super duty grill removal on youtube and a fella from here or psn walks you through the process. thats the hardest part, then connect some wires. easy peazy.

I figured it was pretty straightforward. Do I need to remove the headlights? And where has everyone Been mounting their ballasts?
Thanks

yes you do need to remove headlights and the grill has to come off to remove headlights. the headlights have 4 10mm screws holding them in. pull straight out and they will pop right out.

i mounted the fog light ballast to the fog light bracket itself with 2 zip ties. the headlight ballast i mounted behind the headlight zip tied back there.

I know I had some stupid issues this week installing my 55w HID's. I was installing the pass. side to the relay and tested the light and it worked fine. Ran the relay wire for the driver side and couldnt get either side to come work then.. I just yanked it out after an hour of trying to figure out what the problem was.. I may try to tackle it again this week.

I have done HID's on other cars/atv, etc, but this is my first time using the HID relay harness and the H13 conversion pigtails.

The relay harness kinda sucks. Make sure you find a good place to ground each side. One side goes to the 12v positive in your battery and the harness only uses one bulb socket of the stock headlight so make sure you tape up the one you don't use so it keeps the elements out.

Got the hid's in last night. It was late when I finished and one of the fogs isn't working. I suspect a bad ground. If not I'll go through the wiring diagram again and figure it out. And the vleds switchbacks I didn't get in because the company doesn't give you directions.... Plus they sent me the wrong resistor. Quite annoying

Vleds.com 6k switchback with a 3ohm resistor. Really easy install when I finally figured out what to do. Vleds doesn't give good instructions at all
