IDS says my f250 regens 341.3 mi

My f250 fx4 3.55 camper tail step 18 tires regens every 125-150 miles but miles on last tank 222 between regen and dealers ids says my trucks computer says last 1 397.07 avg 341.13 between regens. Long trip from southern oregon to southern cal 70-75 it regen almost like clockwork at 125 I even asked them if they drove the right truck and they gave me the printout and that ford says everythings normal and 126.00 bill for checking it out.Why diferet read from computer than when I drive it. Always 380-415 mte when I fill up and 2-3 regens per 20-21 gal of fuel. Always bout 10 minutes regen and I notice dip in mpg 30sec and then cleaning exhaust filter.

My truck regens every 120-150 miles as well. The good thing is they only last about 10 minutes like you say. I'm with you on this though, no way my truck has ever gone over 200 miles and not done a regen. Sucks you had to pay $126! It sounds like you are an observant driver like I am. There are a couple things that change with my truck while doing a regen that makes it obvious to me even if I miss the message saying cleaning filter. Don't know why Ford would tell you your truck regens less frequent than it does...weird.

How can you tell it is doing a regen if you miss the message and don't have a monitor of some sort. I know if it is parked, I can smell mine.

I know the mileage drops off, but head winds, slight uphill grades and things also cause the mileage to drop. So that is not a reliable signal.

The dealer is reading what the computer is storing for the avg distance between regens. I can see the regens on my Edge CTS. And it displays for the entire regen period. Plus I can watch the soot %. As it climbs I know about when the regen will start and I can watch the Soot% drop as the regen progesses.. But other than that, I really don't know when a regen is happening.

I drive by the mpg readout and have a pad to write miles down when cleaning filter message pops up and have 18000 miles on mine and probly only missed a few mesages.17710 re 17913 re 17946-949-part 17949 complete after 10 min 18046 regen and they say pid is 341.13 avg (BULL) or my comp is lieing to their ids. On most roads I know it gets 20 on cruise but regen on cruise same sections its 8-12 mpg and I can tell by mpg read out when climbing a 20 mile section it going up 200 ft elevation =18 mpg at 60 an 22 on way back down eevation.
