New Trucks

I will be looking for a New Truck in a few months and I am looking at the new diesels, I like the new super duty and the features it has. I would like to know what you current owners of the new trucks have to say about them. I want to test drive one so may do that soon, I have been hearing good things about the new 6.7 engine. I had a 08 6.4 and had to get rid of it because of the horrible mileage and the regen cycle, did not like it , Would like to know how often these go into the regen cycle. How is the new 6 speed tranny on these trucks? I have had a Duramax and Cummins also so I am not new to the diesels. Ford has some features on this truck that the others do not have. The local dealer is offering up to $12,000.00 off the sticker price also.

There are good deals to be had. Test drive them all.
From my perspective, I ordered mine based on:
- Reliability ratings in consumer reports
- cabin size
- smoothness of tranny and power

I drove all 3 brands before deciding on Ford. Mine was ordered in March and built 4/10. Waiting for it to be delivered. I have no idea how long shipping takes...but I am eager!!!

I ordered this 6.7 because of the 08's poor mileage. This 6.7 is pretty decent, I am close to committing to keeping it and just racking the miles up on it. And just keeping a repair fund as you do on any vehicle you plan on keeping. So far, it has been the best truck I have owned...

Had a 2008 f250 that avg 12.5, now have a 2011 f350 with long bed that averages 16 in same driving conditions. Regen cycle appears to happen 1/3rd as often. Both were king ranch version. I am significantly happier with the 6.7

If your test driving one Be sure to make room in the driveway first, just saying. It happen to me a couple of days ago.

Extremely happy with mine. I bought a F450 4x4 dually pick up. One thing was funny, the CEL was on when I test drove it. I brought it in today, they said they reprogrammed the computer. The code was P202C. I scanned it before I brought it in to make sure they did not feed me any BS.
Other then that, I hit 188 miles today. LOL I am very happy, the ride is great, sound level inside is very quiet, the power is there and so is the MPG's. The electronics inside is ahead of its time.

Ive had mine a whole 6 hrs now and am thinking about getting rid of the girlfriend and just marrying the pickup!! (Kidding hun... move over pup, looks like we're bunking tonight) love the smoth ride, steers 1 fingered, quiet, got more electronics than the space station! Tho i only got 370 miles on it.

I have to say that the turning radius is so much better then my 2004. WOW, how can they have made that better. LOL
