2011 F250 Sat radio antena install

Thinking about adding an aftermarket satellite radio. Any thoughts on routing the antena? Has magnetic base. I was thinking of mounting it in the big tray on my front dashboard. Anyone tried this? Just curious. Thanks.

It should work thru the glass on your truck, , try that first. Vehicles with HUD displays could fail this as they have a coating in them that stops the signal, but I think your truck will be OK.

Another idea, if the wire is long enough, is to route it to the rear sliding window and stick it on the roof above the window. Those rocker covers pull right up and there is room for running the wire along the floor.

I am currently working out solution to put a CB in the console. I would like to have co-phased antennas so the coax is my issue too. I wish Ford would have put a mounting hole or bracket on the mirrors for this. Oh wait a minute - - its not the 70s anymore huh??? Prolly just me but I think large trucks should be able to talk to each other.
