If you have a fuel system related issue its entirely possible.

Best course would be to talk to your dealers service dept.

Talk with your dealer maybe have them install it if it has not been installed yet. If they install it they might stand behind it more.

If the dealer tells you that it will not affect the warranty in any way I would ask them to put it in writing. Some dealers seem to have a real short memory on conversations with customers. A buddy had head studs put in by his dealer and it blew a head gasket a couple months later and the dealer told him they can't warranty failures caused by non Ford parts.

i asked that question to the dealer and they said that as long as it is new and you have proof that it is a brand new tank

I personally don't trust dealers anymore then I trust my boys at the peelers (hey that rymes). So I would record the guy telling you that. :p

There is a video on you tube...looks pretty straight forward...dude did it by himself in a single car garage on the floor with a jack and some stands...
