If diesel prices go up, will truck prices get better?

Does anyone think that if diesel gets up to $5.00 a gallon that you'd be able to get good deals on these trucks new?

No, new trucks are just going to get more expensive. I.e., Ford introducing a platinum superduty. Cost of fuel makes everything in America more expensive. Now if we had some stimulus money we could all go buy a new truck .

They won't go down to prices they were before the 2011's came out, but they will go down from current prices, because when diesel was almost 5 bucks a gallon in summer 08, diesel truck prices went WAY down here in baton rouge La. I was able to get a brand new king ranch for 43k

I don't think it will have a big effect on new truck prices, but it will drive the used market in the toilet.
