Anyone with injector problems
Hey guys, just dropped off truck at the dealer on Friday with a blown number 4 injector. Totally upset!! I love my truck and the way it runs.I just hope this is not what the future has to hold for down the road! I should know on Monday if they have to take off the cab to change it and when I'll get it back. I'll keep you posted.

I hopefully will have a answer as to why it went after it is replaced. It's blown, that's what the service writer said happened. I'll find out if was stuck in the open position or if it went bad or.... After I dropped it off at the dealer I did notice that there was a film of fuel in the exhaust tips from driving it there. With the error codes I got off the mini max and all the ford service manuals I was reading on line I told them that it had to be an injector. I guess I was right, but until it's out I won't know just what it's problem was. One of the mechanics there said there are reports of the number 4 cylinder dropping valves though so that scared the **** out of me!! He heard that in school last week and I do know this guy as well so he wasn't just trying to scare me or anything. So I'm praying that the surgery goes well and i'll have my baby back ASAP.

I hope for your sake they don't look too far into it. I know you can't get a 6.0 or 6.4 any warranty consideration if there has been any modification performed to either the engine or engine control.
Good luck! |

Well it looks like a long block is in my future. Number 4 cylinder is down 100 psi on a compression test,so with that and the knock on the inside of the motor Ford says replace it with a long block!
