Favorite Diesel Magazine?

I'm looking to subscribe to a diesel specific magazine. Diesel Power seems to be popular, but as far as unbiased reporting goes, I think they leave a lot to be desired (February 2011 Ford vs Chevy article comes to mind).

Any suggestions?

Their ridiculous amount of Chevy and Dodge stuff comes to mind too. I would say it's 80% cummins, 20% duraslax

I did hear a rumor about building a 6.0 in the coming future though

I thought about a subscription too, but there's just not enough Ford info there to warrent it. Seemed fairly obvious to me that they favor dodge and cheby.

Diesel Power is by far the best rag that is Diesel specific. 8 lug and Diesel Tech seem to have knock off articles of DP. I have iPad subscriptions to all of them and am the most pleased with DP. They are currently building a 6.7 and often feature Fords and have write ups on mods and such. They have a lot of Cummins stuff because that is still the preferred motor for sled pulling in the Super Stock class. You don't often hear of any Ford putting out 3000 hp unless it's got a Cummins in it. They could definitely use a LOT more Ford content but they put out a good rag.

I like DP best. I've read 8-Lug and Diesel Tech also. I agree with mor4wd, their articles do seem cheesy by comparison. Not a perfect mag with all the ads and some folks complain of too many 'show' or heavily modified trucks and not enough daily driver types, except for the Reader Rides.

i'm subscribed to Diesel Power and Diesel world...

I like both Magazines, and I also like all thing diesels... so i havent personally noticed if it was sided one way or another

I also understand that articles written will be biased at times... so i only use them as a basis of any research i might end up doing.

Diesel Power gets my vote! There is not a Ford diesel magazine yet. The crew at DP do an absolutely outstanding job balancing manufacturers, aftermarket, new & old, developing tech, your ride & projects. Take a pic of your truck, write a little blurb and send it in. They'll print it and you'll be even more famous than you already are! Oh yeah, subscribe!!
