Do we have my ford touch? NO. We have Ford SYNC . Two different software platforms. And the hardware and OS are different. Let's face it we have the OLD original Microsoft windows 2 and the my ford touch 2.2 is like the new apple products.

Actually, I am quite fond of the Microsoft SYNC in our trucks - I can do everything I had hoped to be able to do except for sending and receiving text messages.

That feature is phone dependant. I much prefer the system in my truck over the myford. Wifes new car has that and its got issues thats for sure mine never skips a beat.

Does anyone think that the 2013's will have the my ford touch instead of SYNC? That'd be sweet.

Yeah our 2011 explorer has the my ford touch and you have to reset it all the time. The screen just goes blank even if you turn the car off and back on. It has some bugs that need to be addressed
