bed rail caps

are the bed rail and tailgate caps removable, and if so has anyone done so?
I was thinking taking them off would make for a cleaner look with the tonneau cover!
pictures would be much appreciated btw
also I hate the fact they are basically a dirt and grime trap...

I think there are holes under tailgate trim.

Yup, under the tailgate and bed rails are many, many holes. It would be allot of work, but it is possible to get rid of them. But you'd have to spend a good bit at a body shop.
