Question about the GVW of the F-350 SRW. what is the standard GVW of the SRW. I noticed on some window stickers 11500 and some 10000. I would like to get the most truck that I can when I get my new truck. I don't want a dually so I want to stick with the SRW.

Not sure on standard. Mine with the plow prep package was 11,300 GVWR. I think they are all over 10K from the start.

they have an option of a 10K package when you order it it keep the truck under the 10,001 LB so you don't get into any legal issues(DOT medical card etc). The only difference is the sticker in the door. My truck has the package, but wish it didn't just to have the bigger sticker in the door when I haul heavy loads, but I doubt it will ever be an issue

That truck in a crew cab will weigh right at 8000 lbs empty with full fuel. So if you plan to use it for work you can see that 4 men onboard will only leave around 1200 lbs room for cargo or trailer tongue weight with a 10k rating. The heavier package gives you much more room for work.
I ran into the same thing when I traded campers. My new 5th wheel was over loading a 10k rating a lot and I ended up trading for an F450 to be legal. The F250 handled the RV just fine but was not legal pulling the trailer. You just need to figure how you plan to use your truck and get the weight package to cover it. These trucks are very heavy so you gotta figure on that. My F450 weighs close to 9000 lbs!!! |

I have a 2011 F350 CCSB Lariat and I opted for the 11,5K rating
