Deversitech 2.5" ball mount

Why do they sell a 2.5" ball mount if it doesn't fit any trucks? Their video says it's for the new Ford and chevy trucks. Well I bought one and it didn't fit my truck. Went to the Chevy dealer and it didn't fit theirs either. What ever happened to tolerance testing before a product launch? Did they even test it or was it just a I assume it will fit approach? Maybe they thought I'd fix it myself?! If so I'd like $115.00 back for my custom fab time.
I think DT needs to make a full Billet 2.5" like their 2", no sleeve crap. Then take mine as a return and send me a new one.

Fits any class 5 hitch found on F-450's and above and Chevy 4500's and above.

I have a class 5 hitch on my truck and am referring strictly to 2011 model year trucks they say it's made for. If indeed what you say is true they should state that or suffer the consequences of unhappy customers. And definitely don't say it's for trucks it doesn't fit.

You are right. They should pay far more attention to what they are advertising. Its funny you bring this up. I would have grabbed one of those in a heartbeat yesterday if I could have found one. Instead I had to find a sleave and install that.

Yeah... I just took my reducer out for this hitch. I like the ball mount design just not a fan of the fact it's a 2" with an adapter not a true 2.5". I'd be ok with being an adapter if it fit.

I just got a 2011 f250 with a 12,500 lb hitch, with has a 2.5in receiver.

I pull a 5th wheel, so I don't tow on the ball much. I've got the 2.5" to 2" sleeve for when I need the ball.

I have the same situation as Mike, 5th wheel and I use the hitch to tow my boat. I'm not sure I know what you mean by the other hitch. I just put my old ball mount in the receiver with the sleeve.
