Bone stock comparison, the 6.7 seems better to me (my dad had the 6.7 and I have the 6.4). BUT I have a dpf delete and programmer and mine has mor power and is more fuel efficient

Stock to stock the 6.7 is superior in a lot of ways imo. Not only the engine but the whole truck.

Different technology from the injectors thru the engine and tranny, too much too list. The 6.4's exhaust system really was a big issue in regards to performasnce, mpg, longevity. The 6.7 has a completely new about everything. Really not comparable on an equal basis. Put the key in, drive. Dif is power, mpg, totally different tranny.

Put 15-20 k per yr on, pull a boat, trailer...?? Hard to justify the expense, 6.4 will work fine. If you pull heavy loads, need to cut expenses, work out of it, the dif is night and day.

Drive a 6.7...post your impressions..

The new truck is so nice. Big bucks to move up though. I had major issues with cooling system with my 6.4 before tradeing and was still looseing some at 75K after all the stuff the dealer did. So I felt compelled to bail out before she let me down real good. With that said I think this truck is the cat's meow so far with 16k. More bells and whistles and better fuel MPG. But big bucks.

I have a 6.4L and plan to keep it! Had the truck 1-1/2 years and no problems. Truck is stock. Don't plan on making any engine mods because it has more power than I'll ever need. I have no issues with the DPF. When it regens, I keep driving until it's finish. It's a very minor inconvenience.

Not sure why people say the 6.4L are unreliable? There haven't been any recalls on the 2010's. Look at the threads. There's just as many problems with the 6.7L's as the 6.4L's. For some to say the 6.7's are more reliable is premature. Time will tell.

6.4 mod>6.7 mod 6.4 stock<6.7 stock. Plain and simple if you want a fast reliable truck that will get good mpg with the simple mods then get the 6.4L.
