differential info
I am having trouble finding info on what kind of differential I have on my 06 F-350 diesel truck. I don't see any info on the diffs. Is there any other eau of finding this info. I am looking at getting after market covers for both of them

One way of finding the gear ratio is to jack one wheel off the ground, rotate the wheel exactly one turn while counting the number of turns the drive shaft makes. Multiplying this number by 2 will give you your diff ratio. Turning the wheel 10 times and multiplying by .2 will provide a more accurate number.

You did not say if it was SRW or DRW so there could be two different diffs in the front and two different diffs in the rear.

Mag hytec has a top notch product, I have had them, but decided to go a cheaper route this time. I bought a set of these mainly because they have a drain plug. I had mine powdercoated black, and polished the fins (like mag-hytec)
