Any reason to avoid buying a Job1 truck?
Hey all,
Looking at the option of trading in the Effonefitty this week on a new 6.7. Thanks in advance. |

To the best of my knowledge, they will (or have) run the computer update on a Job 1 truck and it should run the same as a Job 2.

Job 1 trucks have the two-tone leather seats. Job 2 does not. I think the rear window defrost may be a job 2 option but don't quote me on it.

I would say just make sure it has the 400/800 flash. My truck is job 1, purchased in December 2010, and it did not have the up to date PCM Flash.

My Job 1 KR does not have the driver's seat easy access feature of the Job 2's. I hear most people don't use that feature anyway.

The dealer wasn't willing to knock any off the price of the job1, so we went for a job2. The job1 was a really nice truck, we test drove it a few miles and I was really impressed. However, my wife and I both were neutral on the color, and the interior. We were able to get a Job2 in the color I loved and wife approved, and the interior configuration we both wanted.
Thanks for the replies. |

Not that it matters much now, but as far as I know, there were no major differences. Most Job 1's sold in 2011 should have been flashed for the 400/800. There is another flash recently released to solve some hard shifting issues on Job 1's. Also, the two-tone seats were only a Job 1 option.

Job 1 also had the 2 tone seats, job 2 does not, to the best of my knowledge.
