Looking to buy this 03 f250
Its an 03 f-250 XLT 7.3l turbo,crew cab,auto trans,171k miles super clean inside.
He asking 5 grand for it..the outside is pretty beat up but that dont bother me cause i can fix that pretty easy.
There gear oil leaking around the rear driver side tire,he said it need the seal replace.
he also said that the transmission may need replace down the road. he said he was hauling cows in the back of it an it slip some but have not done it really since then..
What should i look for on this truck since i really dont know much about deisel trucks.
is it normal for the transmission to go at 171k miles? he said it only slip cause he was hauling so much in bed...
What else should i look at before buying this thing??
He told me i could have it for 5 grand an that seem super low for that truck,an make me think there is something really wrong with it..i ask why he was asking so low an she said cause it beat up on outside but kinda hard to believe still so low..I like to buy it but i don't want it to be a money pit to get it to run good.
an it kinda hoppy on highway is that normal too for a bigger truck?
