Regeneration
Hey
Anybody notice that the cruise control drives like its had a few beers when regen kicks in? Not a big deal or anything to worry about but it is a noticeable change. More of a characteristic. Seems to be slowly and slightly pumping the accelerator. I can hear it more than feel it. No noticeable movement of RPM. Regen was at 65 mph, 335 miles on truck. Lasted about 15 miles. |

I am having trouble knowing when the regeneration is finished. Is the only apparent way to know for sure is the instant MPG display showing relative instant fuel usage?
I miss the message light staying on until the process was finished as it did in the 2008s. On my first 3 regenerations, one of course started 1/4 mile from my destination. |

I also can't tell when it's finished. I never miss the message that it has started, but I never see anything telling me it's finished. Even on my 08 after I had it reflashed, you could go into the message center and it would tell you that it's cleaning. The new one does not. I guess they are trying to make it more transparent to the driver, but I'd like to know what's going on.
To the OP: I've never noticed any fluctuation in anything when cruise is set when it starts regen. Maybe it'll go away with a couple thousand miles. |

Yep maybe so. Its very shuttle, I'm surprised I noticed it.
The message came up and I was seeing the MPG drop. After about 15 miles it stopped going down and started coming back up. Just towed 200 miles at 70 MPH. Looks like 12 MPG. That's a 20% increase over the 6.4l. |
