Thumbs up Took it for a ride to break it in!

Well I picked up the truck today. The tank was full, 40 miles on the truck. They drove it 20 miles to get the bed sprayed and fifth wheel hitch put in. Shows 1 hour idle time and had something like 14 avg mpg. Maybe that's standard checkout procedure???

I reset it and drove it around in town, on the highway, county roads, and interstate. First regeneration at 335 miles.

Anyway, I have to tow the camper 1200 miles leaving in the morning so I needed to get a little break in time before hitching it up.

Total avg mpg for my trip shows around 22. Truck has 400 miles now. I think it's good to go.

So, here's the deal...

This truck is frickin AWESOME!!!!

Well I stopped off in Bristol. The truck has over 1000 miles. Over 600 towing. Fueled up 400 miles back, 34 gallons. The fueling is different on this truck or maybe it was the pump. Filled all the way up the neck and splashed out on the ground. Showing 12.6 MPG for the 600 towing miles. Seems about right.

The truck has not downshifted going up any hills yet. It did downshift going down hill a couple of times. The 6.4 did that too.

Next time put a larger pic I cant quite make this one out. lol Nice fifth wheel by the way. We have a Jayco travel trailer our first trip was with 600 miles on the truck to Lake Powell which was only about 250 miles but we averaged 11.6 the whole trip which isn't bad. My Tundra averaged about 7-8 so 11.6 is good enough for me. Enjoy the new rig I know I am.
