New body style versus old

Adding to the list of stupid things I've done over the years, I got rid of my 01 superduty I bought new in 01 in '05 for a 1/2 ton.

Sick to death of the 1/2 ton and ready for a new f250 crew cab. Am sold on everything but the interior. According to dimensions the 01 and 11 are nearly identical, but the back seat just seems smaller.

Any comments on the comfort and room in the 2011s compared to a 99 - 2003?

It seems to me like you have more space in the rear (cc)but you give up storage behind seat. In the front you give up floor space for more console.This provides some out of site,even hidden storage

You lost a little head room for the side airbags.

The older trucks had more room for the cowboy hat while inside the truck. And while the truck exterior dimenions are roughly the same, The head liner was lowered for the air bags.

I think there is a ton of room in the back of my crew, and just think of how much more room there is than a chevy!

For sure way more room than chevy or dodge(except mega cab). Just looks smaller than than the 99 - 03...maybe seats are just different.

Yeah I think its a combination of alot of things, bigger cushier seats, air bags in the roof, bigger headrests etc.
