days as an impostor are nearly over

Well, the airfare is bought and the trip is planned. I have been on the forum here for 4 months as a Superduty owner - Payed for my King Ranch back on the 8th of December. This Thursday night will be my first time behind the wheel of a Ford. I pick the truck up in Knoxville - drive to Texas to pick up a pair of tandem dual goosenecks - then on to Des Moines IA to pick up a 45 KVA generator and hope to be back to Alberta by Sunday. (3000 miles planned for 3 days of driving - that Ford better be comfy) Weight in tow should be around 19,000 lbs - (initially I was planning for allot more weight but this should get her broke in.)

What you have 140 post and you haven't even drove the truck. Good luck on the long haul I guess that's why you was worried about the little fuel tank.

Yeah good look! Keep us informed on how she does. I have to make the trip from Anchorage AK to Fayetteville NC in Aug. I will be towing about 9,000 nothing near the weight you have but hope she does good. This is my first Ford as well.

....as dad always said...
"Load her like a boxcar and drive her like a stockcar...!!!!"

You know you are supposed to vary speed the first 1000 miles... I take it that means... have a bit of fun... I have pulled my lil 18k (loaded) f'ver at 65-75... no problem, love them trailer brakes..

Good luck, waiting for your trip post...
