For those who may be interested (I know I searched for photos like this); here is what my 2011 Ford F-350 Super-Duty looks like with the WeatherTech bug/stone guard on the hood, the window rain guards and the OEM Ford splash guards (Mud Flaps)...
Looks pretty good!! :thumb: I especially like the bug guard. I'm the market for one. The Lund I had on there did a great job. It sacrificed itself to save the paint on my hood. Found it cracked it two - It took a hit of some kind.
The window vents are indeed the channel type and yes the windows close all the way. You will need to open and close them a few times, babying the window glass into the channel. On the final close, I left the windows closed for a day and now they go up and down without issue. Also, keep in mind the tint on the front windows; this was a cause for concern as well as it added a little extra to the window glass; the rear windows (which have ONLY the factory tint) went in without a lick of trouble and the windows closed each and every time with no trouble at all.
As a side note, I have been using WeatherTech products since 2000 and have not once had an issue...
Thanks for all the comments. My next addition I think will be HID lights, and maybe swapping all the bulb with LED's. After that, I think an air-horn is in my future...
Good to hear that the in channel window vents work great I might have to look into a set of them. Also might look into the bug shield as well I was surprised how good it looks. The only weather tech product I have used is their custom floor mats in my 08 and now my 11. I might even look at their mud flaps but also looking at the Dura flaps which a friend has that look good also.
Sounds good about the HIDS, that is a future mod for me also. I'm just waiting for spring time to get here so I can get some mods started.
Yeah I hear that about Springtime as well; we got lucky today with 60 degree temps after weeks of freezing rain, snow, sleet, etc.
I cannot wait for spring and summer to be here already; at least it isn't Canada cold though...
As for the mud flaps, I went with the OEM Ford ones because I found a great deal on them from a dealership in Ohio that was selling them on eBay; however, I think there all pretty much the same, probably even come from the same factory too.
HID's, I am just trying to find the right ones and decide on the color. I have been reading allot of articles, each one more confusing than the other, so many choices out there.
Yeah the next couple days here will just be a tease I think but I'll take it.
Yep ready for spring but if I get to do all I want mod wise it could be an expensive spring for me :hehe: I've always wanted to mod my trucks but never did so it's time to try it on my 2011 and set it up the way I want.
Like you just doing a bunch of research trying to figure out what all I want to do and which way I want to go. Should be fun hopefully.
