Is there a way to auto-fold mirrors?
Just curious. I didnt see it in the manual, but I'd like to have the mirrors fold in and out automatically when turning the truck on and off. Any clue?

I'm not sure if that can be done automatically since some people like having the mirrors out.
There is however a knob on the left front of the driver's door, push it back and the mirrors fold for you (works for both in and out, just push it back to the rear) |

I believe someone with a 6.4 wired it to their key remote (lock/unlock) but it'll take some searches

You can set them to fold everytime on GM vehicles that offer power folding mirrors. Would be nice if Ford offered it.

I'm thinking that folding/unfolding every time the truck is started would wear out the motor/drive for the mirrors pretty quickly. From what I understand, the power mirrors on these trucks are like $750 new.

I mean really? That would be some shoddy motor. I typically fold them in when I park (too may stories of busted up mirrors).

is it really that hard to push the button when you get out?

How about you guys living in areas where the bad weather has been hitting lately - any of that ice/snow get thick enough to stop your mirrors from folding??
If the mirrors were all iced up and the motor was able to bust them loose than I would say the motor is pretty tuff. If the mirrors were stuck for days then I have to say the motor and drive is built light and cheap. |

We don't normally get bad weather, but twice within the last week it rained then froze overnight and both mornings I was able to fold or unfold my mirrors. Haven't had this happen regularly though.
