Engine block heater cord?

I ordered the cord for the engine block heater and should be here in a couple of days.Where does it plug in on the block and how difficult is it to get to.

Are you sure you have a block heater installed? Seems odd to install a $100 unit and not provide the $3 cord.

From what I read....all 6.7L SD come with the engine block heaters installed.....but not the cord....now some trucks sold in cold regions....will have the cord as well...The others may not have the cord when purchased....does anyone have the part number for the cord....

not all 6.7 come with block heaters . The only manditory trucks are the ones sold in cold regoins . Had a truck ordered in lousiana and shipped up here didnt have the heater installed in the block . if you look on the pass side though the wheel welll to the rear you can see if it's installed or not .

When I ordered my 6.7 the dealer said it was optional and I paid $75.00 extra to have it come factory equipped.

I ordered the cord from my local Ford dealer.I asked them how much the heater was and he said my truck should have one from the factory and just needed the cord.If it doesn't have the heater I will just return the cord.

My truck was manufactured for an Iowa dealership, and sold at an Iowa Dealership. However, I do not have the "mandatory" block heater that is supposedly installed on trucks manufactured for the cold weather states. pretty cool, huh?
