6.7 oil/injectors

What are you guys running for oil in your 6.7s? does the oil have a lot to do with the injectors like the 6.0s?

No the oil doesn't operate the injectors like the 6.0 and 7.3. It's a common rail system. I'm running 5W-40 Motorcraft Full Synthetic, but it's cold here.

I run rotella T6 5w-40 mechanic at dealership said it was he best out there.

just bought an 2011 6.7 today! plan on changing it to the rotela t6 synthetic 5w-40, can i run this oil in the summer warmer months as well?

yeah I had it in my 08 from the first oil change on and this one as well, pull lots of hay and cattle in the summer and no probs, the manuel calls for 5w-40 for severe duty I'm assuming because of the cold wether benifits of the 5w instead of 15w?
