My New 2011 Dually

Well I finally talked myself into a dually and drove her home today. Picked up a 2011 Crew Cab Long Bed Dually. Oxford White, Black Interior, Fully Loaded, Nav, heated and cooled seats, Sirius, Sunroof, spray in liner, 5th wheel prep package, the works.....

I bought the truck in Tampa Florida and drove it home to Ft Lauderdale about a 250 mile trip. I absolutely love the truck, the power is great, even compared to my Spartan/KEM tuned 08. The mileage seems to be much much better than my 08, even with tuning. The interior is more plush, dash and gauges is night and day better and the whole package is all around an upgrade.

Here are a couple of pics of the truck, sorry for the poor quality, all taken with my beat up blackberry. I already have parts on order, and this should be a pretty sweet project. Stay tuned.

I would have loved to try a 2wd. Wouldn't be able to convince myself to get one though. Living in New Jersey and today is providing yet another reason for 4WD.

Twice in the past year I needed 4wd to get moving with my 5th wheel toy hauler.

Yeah, i only used my 4x4 in my 08 a couple times and it was mostly to play around on wet roads. Its not really needed in South Florida, and I dont put my trucks in the mud or anything so 2wd was an easy choice for me on this one.

Yup sold it last week. Plans for this one are basics, recon lighting, hid, tint, grille, wheels, suspension. Maybe some other minor stuff. I am going to see how the mileage is on this truck and maybe not tune it any time soon.

sounds like its gonna be one killer truck!

Are you gonna lower it or put a lift on it?? what size tires??

Probably going to get alot of mixed opinions on this but I promise it will turn out well. Its going to be lowered witha DJM lowering kit, and 26" American Force 10 Lug Wheels
