Turn Signal
I do not know if this on all Fords but the new style turn signal has two settings, auto off and continuous. I just figured this out yesterday.
![]() I asked the question to the dealership and they are checking, but I'll throw it out here. Is there a way to change the total number blinker flashes in auto? The auto off is just 3. I like to give 3 as the warning and even without a trailer the lane change is not even halfway over with three, never mind with a trailer. 7 or 8 would be great! Anyway... just wondering if anyone knows of or has an answer. Hopefully this setting can be changed. |

I don't think you can reprogram it
But that would be great if you can .

One click is 3 for lane changing. The whole way down or up it stays on until you turn. You could just hit it the whole way down when you change lanes, then just tap it to the top and i think it turns off, not sure though. idk if this is what you meant or not. I doubt there is a way to change it. It's new although it is looking like it is going to be coming on a lot of cars.

The lane change auto off is a cool feature... but 3 is just not enough for a truck or really any vehicle IMO. 6 would be good, 8 would be great. ![]() Who knows, maybe Ford engineers actually view the site and they are making notes as we speak. |

Well... I got the answer, not what I was hoping to hear.
Engineering said that you cannot change the number of flashes in "auto" mode. At least the dealership agrees with my that 3 is hardly enough for changing lanes. I told him this "auto" function is like being in a Lesbian Bar that is full of hotties... it is really cool but I cannot do a damn thing with it. |

If you hold the turn signal down, but not to the point of locking it down for a turn, you can signal for as long as you want when changing lanes. It takes a little practice, but at least you have more than the "auto" function.

GM Does the correct thing IMO. My 09 Sierra had this feature - BUT when you were in tow mode it extended the flash from 3 to 6. Ford should have done that as well IMO...

How about at least 4 gauges in the digital readout, especially EGT. |

...........and a coffee maker!!!!!!!! This REALLY hacks me off. I drive the greatest truck out there, and I'll be damned if it doesn't have a coffee maker! This really bites. I might just FOLLOW my tax dollars and buy a GM, with 4 or 5 more blinks...
Oh well... I MIGHT just make the effort with my lil pinkie and do it myself..... kinda reminds of buying your kid a new car and she throws a fit because its the wrong color. If it wasn't three blinks, and five, someone would want three... my bad... Dear Ford; Could we have a 6 blink option, with a brightness setting too? Also, I don't like my horn tone, could I get a little more bass? and..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
